Irish Funding Success for Kavaleer, Wildcard Distribution and Element Pictures Distribution!

Congratulations to Kavaleer on their TV Programming award from Creative Europe MEDIA! Kavaleer Productions have secured funding of €266,500 for their TV animation, Circle Square. Circle Square is a pre-school animation comedy about a community of friends and neighbours. This is Kavaleer's second TV funding award (previously awarded in 2008) and they also received Slate Funding support in 2014. 

Irish company, Ripple World Pictures, are a minority co-producer in the Cinenord Norwegian TV Drama, Wisting, which was awarded €1,000,000. You can see the full list of European companies and projects funded by this round of TV Programming here. A total of 58 applications were submitted in total with 22 projects selected for funding of an average amount per project of €258,065.

The next deadline for TV Programming is 24 May 2018. Eligible formats include drama films, animation, and creative documentaries. Please do contact us if you have a television project with high creative value and cross-border potential!  

Selective Distribution 

Wildcard Distribution and Element Pictures Distribution have secured Selective Distribution awards to distribute 3 films in Ireland. The films which were nominated for grants are: 

  • WILDCARD DISTRIBUTION | UNDIR TRENU (IS) | €2,600 
  • WILDCARD DISTRIBUTION | L'APPARITION (FR) €2,600 
  • ELEMENT PICTURES DISTRIBUTION | THE KILLING OF A SACRED DEER (EL) €5,700 

The next Selective Distribution deadline is 14 June 2018. The Selective support scheme aims to foster the wider trans-national distribution of recent non-national European films by encouraging theatrical distributors in particular to invest in promotion and adequate distribution of non-national European films.
