Video Games call 22/2016 | results 2017

This was a competitive deadline with 146 applications submitted from 19 different countries. With only 32 successful applicants, there was a 21% success rate with €3,729,550 awarded in this round.

The majority of the successful projects were adventure narrative games with a PEGI rating of 12 or 16. Only 4 of the successful 32 games were aimed at an audience of under 12 years of age.  All of the games are available for download, aimed mostly at PC and console and the majority of them (28) are single player games which makes sense due to the narrative requirement of the scheme.

Since 2013, three Irish game companies have received €435,000 in funding awards - Tribal City Interactive (2 awards); Story Toys; and Pewter Games Studios.

All of the games are available for download and most of them (28) are single player games only due to the narrative requirement.
