15 Irish architectural works nominated for EUMies Award 2022

Fifteen Irish architectural works are nominated for EUMies Award 2022. The Irish nominees include Butler Gallery, Kilkenny and Museum of Literature Ireland, Dublin. See full list here on the EUMies website and below. 

The European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award has been organised by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe and the European Commission since 2001. 

The principal objectives are to achieve a thorough understanding of the transformation of Europe’s built environment; to recognize and commend excellence and innovation in the field of architecture; and to draw attention to the important contribution of European professionals in the development of new ideas with the undeniable support of clients and the involvement of those who will become the users of these places.

In all 532 works will compete to win the EU Mies Award 2022. The shortlist of 40 will be announced in January 2022; the winners will be announced in April 2022 with an Award ceremony to be held in May 2022.
