Gender Equality is an key area of focus across cultural projects in the Creative Europe Programme and is a core priority in European Policy as part of ensuring an inclusive and diverse Europe.
A significant number of projects and activities in this field will be funded between 2021 - 2027 across all EU funding Programmes. Creative Europe Desk Ireland wants to ensure that as many in the cultural sectors as possible can avail of these opportunities.
This webinar highlights the common policy objectives between Europe and Ireland in the field of gender equality and looks at how these policies have been developed and implemented in Ireland and EU level. The speakers are:

- Lesley McKimm, project manager, Screen Ireland
- Olwen Dawe, project lead in Equality, Human Rights and Diversity Policy, Arts Council of Ireland
- Chair, Lian Bell, campaign director of the Waking The Feminists movement.
Sarah Brunet, policy officer with the European Commission gives a keynote presentation on the measures taken in the current Creative Europe programme. Lesley McKimm, Screen Ireland, and Olwen Dawe, Arts Council of Ireland present on national policy initiatives. Lian Bell, freelance arts manager and campaign director of the Waking The Feminists movement, moderates a conversation with the speakers before opening the floor to questions from attendees.
