Established in 1997, Cork Midsummer Festival is one of Ireland's leading international multidisciplinary arts festivals. It is an annual festival which transforms the city of Cork every June with a programme full of local, national and international events, including theatre, dance, opera, music, visual arts and outdoor arts, as well as ambitious participatory projects and an extensive programme of free events.

Positive outcomes included the strengthening of relationships with arts organisations around Europe, development of new audiences for the Festival, and providing a successful platform for Cork-based and other Irish artists to present their work alongside international work.
