Description

The festivals will combine their efforts to create a fruitful alliance sharing resources, expertise and ideas, to reinforce the role of literary festivals and build audiences on a European and global level. The project aims to develop a shared approach to ascertaining the needs of readers in the digital era.

This project will include live streaming events to partner festivals, writers in residence, and a mini touring book fair.

During this two year partnership, the festivals will have the opportunity to share innovative ideas; Vilenica and Festival of World Literature have already adopted Cúirt initiatives Read Me I’m Yours and Kitchen Readings.

Testimonial from Irish Partner

Sharing the Wor(l)d has enabled Cúirt to develop sustainable relationships with literary festivals in Slovenia and Croatia. Sharing expertise and resources were among the key aims of the project and it has led to all partners growing towards a more unified approach to audience development.

The Collaboration has given Cúirt the opportunity to offer emerging Irish writers a European platform and showcase European writers to our core audience through live readings and out of season streaming events.

Sharing the Wor(l)d proved to be an excellent platform for sharing ideas, writers and events, and feedback has been very positive.
