The Berlinale Co-Production Market is a 5 day event for 600+ international producers, sales agents, distributors as well as broadcasting and funding representatives who are active in international co-productions. The Co-Production Market will take place from Saturday 12th February to Wednesday 16th February, 2022.
How to apply with a feature project?
Apply with a feature film project here by 30th September. Producers with international co-production experience are invited to submit a project for the Official Selection. The selected projects will be announced in January, 2022. Important selection criteria include: the artistic quality and the production and financing structure of the projects, their suitability for international co-productions and their potential appeal to the attending producers and financiers.
How to apply with a TV Series project?
The call for submissions for drama series projects 2022 is now open until 15th October. The Co-Pro Series selection will be announced in January. 10 drama series projects looking for international co-production and financing partners will be presented at the Co-Pro Series Pitch and Networking event organised by the Berlinale Co-Production Market. Participation in the event is by invitation only.
How to apply to participate without a project?
Experienced producers and financiers who are looking for projects to co-produce and do not wish to present their own projects can request the application link from email@example.com in autumn, to be able to participate in the full programme and networking and request one-on-one meetings with the selected projects.
How to partipate in the Visitors Programme?
From mid-November 2021, experienced producers, financiers, sales agents, film funds, broadcasters, theatrical and online distributors can apply to participate at the Berlinale Co-Production Market without presenting their own project.
These participants should be looking for new projects to co-produce or co-finance and should not mainly aim to present their own projects here. Applying production companies must have completed at least one international co-production in the past three years. The overall number of participants is limited.
The application is made separately (directly with the Co-Production Market team) and in addition to the required festival accreditation or EFM Market Badge (EFM). The application link can be requested at from firstname.lastname@example.org from middle of November, 2021.
Prior, additional accreditation for the Berlin International Film Festival and/or European Film Market is required for all participants.
