Ireland Music Week 2022 + Keychange Guests

IMW 2 700 388

This year, Ireland Music Week celebrates 20 years with their annual showcase and conference from 4th - 8th October. The festival returns in real life with an international-facing showcase and conference.

The Ireland Music Week conference will take place from Wednesday 5th to Friday in Lost Lane, Dublin. Lost Lane will be the festival hub and location for the conference during the day. Over 70 international delegates, including three Keychange delegates - Affa Alizadeh, Kertu Mägar and Lennea Lyssand - will join Ireland Music Week to attend showcases and participate in networking events, panel discussions and presentations.

The music showcases will take place on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th from 8pm across three venues - the Grand Social, Lost Lane and the Workman’s Club. Fifty Irish artists and three international Keychange acts - Mise en Scene from Canada, Sunna Margrét from Iceland, and Misia Furtak from Poland will perform during IMW.

Ireland Music Week continues its partnership with Keychange this year. As always, the festival strives to achieve at least a 50% representation of women and underrepresented gender minorities in its line-up. There will be a Keychange panel on Thursday 6th of October at 4.30pm in Lost Lane, this year's festival hub. This panel will discuss the work Keychange does to overcome barriers that women and gender minorities encounter in the music industry.

Supported by Creative Europe, Keychange is a global network and movement working towards a total restructure of the music industry in reaching full gender equality. Keychange consists of partners collaborating from 12 different countries, working proactively to make this change.
