Lux Award 5 2023

Five films have been shortlisted for the 2023 LUX Audience Award.

In the 2023 LUX Audience Award, five films will compete.

The films will be subtitled in all 24 official EU languages by the European Parliament to enhance their circulation, touring the continent over the upcoming months. This prize aims to build bridges by shedding light on films that go to the very core of the public debate.

The five films nominated for the Lux Audience Award 2023 are:

  • ALCARRAS by Carla Simón
  • BURNING DAYS by Emin Alper
  • CLOSE by Lukas Dhont
  • TRIANGLE OF SADNESS by Ruben Östlund
  • WILL-O’-THE-WISP by João Pedro Rodrigues

European audiences are encouraged to watch and rate the films until 12th June, 2023. You can rate the films nominated for the LUX Audience Award 2023 on this website. Among the people taking part in the rating process, ten lucky winners will be invited to attend the ceremony, while other contestants will get a chance to win a set of prizes from the nominated films.

The recipient of the award will be determined by the public and by the Members of the European Parliament (each party representing 50% of the votes). The winner will be announced on 14th June, 2023.
