NEW TO IFI@HOME | THE RACER (IRELAND)

Following updated Government guidelines, the IFI will remain closed until further notice. A great selection of films is still available to rent nationwide on IFI@Home. The Racer directed by Kieron J. Walsh, and written by Walsh and Ciaran Cassidy, is set in summer 1998. Late-career cyclist Dom Chabol (Louis Talpe) has been one of the best support riders on the Tour de France for 20 years but harbours a desire to wear the yellow jersey before his career is over. Produced by Ireland’s Blinder Films, who received MEDIA Single Project Funding in 2011, in co-production with Calach Films of Luxembourg and US company Caviar.

VOLTA VOD gives cinema lovers the opportunity to watch films online in the comfort of their home. Volta has a wide selection of Irish films and a wonderfully curated selection of European and international independent feature films and documentaries. Check out their current films, many of which have been supported by Creative Europe, including The Truth; A White, White Day; Vivarium; Sea Fever; and Portrait of a Lady on Fire. Volta and Lighthouse Cinema are members of Europa Cinemas which is supported by MEDIA. 

Pinocchio (2020) ia a faithful adaptation of the famous story of the wooden puppet by by Matteo Garrone starring Roberto Benigni, Federico Ielapi, Rocco Papaleo, Massimo Ceccherini, Marine Vacth, and Gigi Proietti. A wooden boy is brought to life by the wish of a poor, lonely woodcarver. Like any child, Pinocchio is curious about the world and learns by trial and error. The film's distribution was supported by MEDIA funding.

CURZON HOME CINEMA | LITTLE JOE (UK)

Little Joe is directed by Jessica Hausner. Alice is a single mother and plant breeder at a corporation. She brings home an engineered flower, nicknamed 'Little Joe' that makes its owner happy. As the plant grows, so too does Alice’s suspicion that her new creation may not be as harmless as its nickname suggests.  Starring Emily Beecham and Ben Whishaw. The filmw as supported by MEDIA's Sales Agent scheme in 2018.
