IRISH FILM INSTITUTE DUBLIN
IFI@Home, is the Irish Film Institute’s online streaming library, exclusive to Irish audiences. Their handpicked, thematically selected collections stretch from far flung corners of the world, to rarely seen Irish gems and will include unique film festival programmes.
The IFI was recently awarded the Europa Cinemas Innovation Prize for their ground-breaking Access Film Initiative. Iniatiated with the support of Creative Europe MEDIA, the Prize celebrates standout innovative projects and approaches by network cinemas. The Access Film Initiative originated in a piece of research supported by Arts Disability Ireland and the Arts Council of Ireland that has been launched to make cultural cinema accessible to audiences with disability (deaf/hard of hearing or blind/vision impaired) through the inclusion of accessible screenings of new releases in the IFI monthly programme.
IFI Home is the sister site of our other platform the IFI Player where audiences around the world can enjoy free access to film materials preserved in the IFI Irish Film Archive. Some of the MEDIA supported films screening this month on IFI@Home include La Haine (France), A White, White Day (Icleand) and The Traitor (Italy).
You can support the IFI by becoming a member or donating here, or by participating in their Name Your Seat fundraising campaign which allows audience members to put their own name on a cinema seat, and show their appreciation for the IFI cinema.
THE LIGHTHOUSE DUBLIN / PALÁS GALWAY / VOLTA
