In the fourth article in our series on getting prepared for the next Creative Europe Programme, we focus on the move to a wholly electronic submission and grant management system: E-Grants. This is a fully paperless, unique tool for all EU programmes designed to speed up the selection, contracting, reporting and payment process.
All Creative Europe Calls will be published on the Funding and Tender Opportunities Portal (FTOP). All applications will be made through this portal. If selected, your project will also be managed via this portal until complete including electronic signatures of contracts.
While we await the publication of the new Calls, it is worth taking time now to familiarise yourself with the new system and to ensure that the following are in place so that you can concentrate on the content of your application once Calls are issued.
EU Login and PIC Number
In order to apply you will need to have a valid EU Login and PIC number ( Participant Identification Code).
If you have applied previously to Creative Europe, login to the FTOP to ensure that your organisation is registered and the details are correct.
New applicants can register on the FTOP at any time to receive a PIC code.
Know your LEAR
The role of the LEAR (Legal Entity Appointed Representative) will be more important than ever now that contracts will be managed electronically. If you have received Creative Europe funding previously you will have already appointed a LEAR. If for some reason you wish to change the LEAR we would advise that you begin the process now. You can do so here.
New applicants will be invited to register a LEAR on selection. In order to be prepared, familiarise yourself with the process here.
A detailed presentation on the E-Grants system was part of the European Film Forum at the Berlinale. You can watch the webinar below and download the presentation here.
