The 35th European Film Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday 10th December in Reykjavík, Iceland. Thirty film titles have been nominated for the EFAs which celebrate the greatest achievements in European cinema. Some highlights from the nominations include:

  • ALCARRÀS (Spain, Italy) Directed by Carla Simón. Written by: Carla Simón, Arnau Vilaró; MEDIA supported.
  • AS FAR AS I CAN WALK (Serbia, Luxembourg, France, Bulgaria, Lithuania) Directed by: Stefan Arsenijevic. Written by: Stefan Arsenijevic, Bojan Vuletic, Nicolas Ducray. Won the Europa Cinemas Label as Best European film at the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
  • BOY FROM HEAVEN (France, Sweden) Written and directed by Tarik Saleh; MEDIA supported.
  • MADRES PARALELAS (Spain) Written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar; MEDIA supported.
  • TRIANGLE OF SADNESS (Sweden, Germany, France, UK) Written and directed by Ruben Östlund; MEDIA supported.
