Training deadlines Feb to March 2023

EAVE+ | Deadline extended to 7th February 2023

EAVE+ is an intensive 4 day workshop event for independent producers with a solid track record and international experience reinforcing their managerial and financial capacity to compete successfully in European and global markets and to run sustainable companies. EAVE+ offers 15 producers the opportunity to discuss their company structures and management practices together with high-profile industry experts.

ESoDoc - European Social Documentary | Deadline: 10th February 2023

ESoDoc is an 8 month training initiative for documentary film professionals who want to improve their storytelling and co-creative skills, to broaden the potential of their documentary and new media project gaining access to a larger market.

ESoDoc is designed for authors, directors and creative producers who are willing to dedicate time and energy in the creative development process during the training, who want to approach their project from different angles and explore new forms and new formats of audiovisual production. They also welcome also other media professionals such as journalists, communication designers, and programmers.

• When: Phase 1 - Opening (June 5-23, 2023 Online); Phase 2 - Consolidation (September 4-11, 2023 - residential: South Tyrol); Phase 3 - Pitching (end November/beginning of December, 2023); Phase 4 - Follow-up (from December onwards 2023 - online).
• Organiser: ZeLIG School for Documentary, Bolzano, Italy
• Cost €1,500 regular / 750 reduced fee. The fee covers all online and residential tuition, coaching and mentoring. It includes room and board for all residential sessions (accommodation might be in a single or a shared double room, according to availability). Travel expenses are not included.
  

ACE Leadership Special | Deadline 6th March

The ACE Leadership Special workshop is for experienced producers to help them establish sound business foundations for their companies.

Open to members of the ACE Network and other experienced, established producers of a similar level, the ACE Leadership Special will take place over two 3-day residential workshops with additional online sessions complementing them. 12 producers will be selected, each with their own experiences from running a company and their own unique entrepreneurial capabilities, allowing the small group to benefit not only from the knowledge of the workshop consultants, but from each other’s lived experiences.

• Workshop 1: Veneto, Italy. Workshop 2: Netherlands plus online elements
• Cost: €3500 (€3250 ACE Network Members).

SeriesLab Talents TorinoFilmLab | Deadline Friday, 31st March 2023, 11am Irish time / noon CET

This programme gives emerging talents in drama writing to give them the chance to gain experience in a professional writers’ room, guided by a high-profile mentor; and to build connections with other international writers and professionals of the European TV industry.

TARGET PARTICIPANTS: professional scriptwriters coming from all over the world planning a career in or a co-production with Europe, who want to boost their experience on drama series writing and train the skills required in a writers’ room.

• When: 3 x 5-day residential workshops in September 2023, November 2023 and early 2024, ending up with a final networking industry event, during the last workshop.
• 1st residential workshop: mid-September 2023 (Georgia), dates TBC2nd residential workshop: mid-November 2023 (Belgium), dates TBC3rd residential workshop, final presentation and meetings: beginning of 2024 (place and dates TBC)
