Join us for a funding information webinar on the Creative Europe MEDIA call for European Co-development call on Thursday 12th December.

European Co-development supports the co-development of one animation, creative documentary or fiction project for cinema, TV, or digital platforms.

Who can apply?

Application by a project leader and at least one partner with companies legally established in at least 2 different MEDIA countries. The project leaders (coordinator) must be able to demonstrate recent experience in producing internationally distributed works.

What projects are supported by European Co-development funding?

  • Feature films, animations and creative documentaries of a minimum length of 60 minutes intended primarily for cinematic release.
  • Fiction projects (one-off or series) of a total duration of minimum 90 minutes, animation (one-off or series) of a total duration of minimum 24 minutes and creative documentaries (one-off or series) of a total duration of minimum 50 minutes intended primarily for the purposes of television or digital platform exploitation;
  • Interactive, non-linear fiction, animation or creative documentary projects (e.g. narrative virtual reality projects) of any duration.
  • Works which are designed to be a series with a joint distribution and marketing strategy have to be submitted as a series.
  • Projects should not normally exceed 30 months.

This funding call is due to open in early December 2024.
