Fifteen films supported by MEDIA will screen at Cannes Film Festival 2022.

The Cannes Film Festival runs from 17th to 28th May this year. Fifteen films supported by Creative Europe MEDIA have been selected to screen in various sections and competitions including the Directors' Fortnight (La Quinzaine des Réalisateurs) and La Semaine de la Critique. Three MEDIA supported films will compete for the prestigious Palme D'Or awarded to films selected to screen In Competition.

In Competition

  • Triangle of Sadness, by Ruben Östlund (Sweden, France, Greece, United Kingdom, USA), supported in distribution.
  • Boy from Heaven, by Tarik Saleh (France, Sweden), supported in development.
  • Pacifiction (Tourment sur les îles), by Albert Serra (Spain, Germany), supported in distribution.

  • Godland (Vanskabte Land), by Hlynur Pálmason (France, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark), supported in development.
  • Le bleu du Caftan, by Maryam Touzani (France, Morocco, Denmark, Belgium), supported in distribution.
  • Retour a Seoul, by Davy Chou (France, Germany, Belgium), supported in development.

Midnight Screenings

  • Rebel, by Adil El Arbi and Billal Fallah (USA, Luxembourg, Belgium), supported in development.

Cannes Premiere

  • Dodo, by Panos H. Koutras (Greece), supported in development.

Special Screenings
