One-to-One Artworks Call for Festivals in Finland, Portugal + Croatian Workshop (all paid)
Open call for one-to-one artworks for the Kehä Festival in Oulu, Finland and the One-to-One Festival in Oeiras, Portugal as well as Residency in Croatia. Artists will be paid for attendance.
One-to-one invites you to propose your one-to-one artwork for their festivals. One-to-one art means works by one artist presented to only one person at a time. They welcome works from all art fields. Disabled artists are also welcome to participate. You can propose your work to the Kehä Festival in Oulu, Finland (held on 14 - 18 October, 2025), to the One-to-One Festival in Oeiras, Portugal (November), or to both festivals.
One-to-one is looking for three kinds of artworks
- Private encounters where the artist and 'the audience of one' meet in a closed space and artistically stimulating framework.
- Performances etc. where contact between the artist and the participant can be viewed by a larger audience.
- One-to-one work with the audience that builds up to an exhibition, concert, etc.
The programme work is loosely guided by the theme “travel”. If your artwork deals with travelling at the level of content or form, please tell it in your application. Relation with the theme is not obligatory- the most important thing is an interesting take on one-to-one. They want to give the artists a freedom to explore different possibilities of the artform. What is possible only in one-to-one art? The works can last from a few minutes to a couple of hours.

Kehä Festival in Oulu, Finland
- 14th October: The artists orientate & share experiences about one-to-one art.
- 15th October: The works are divided to visit different places in the social & health sector.
- 16th October One-to-One art symposium consisting of talks, workshops and performances. Kehä’s artists take part either with their artwork or by facilitating a workshop. This will be decided with the artist.
- 17th - 18th October: The works are open to the public all day at the Cultural house Valve.
- For the artists coming to Oulu One-to-one pays €1,250 (+ 9% vacation compensation fee).

One-to-One Festival in Oeiras, Portugal
- Your piece will be integrated into an immersive 5 hours theatre event in a nontheatrical space. (Friday in November to be determined).
- Meet and greet + General rehearsal + Artists perform to one another (Saturday and Sunday in November to be determined)
- All the artists present their work at the festival throughout the afternoon.
- For the artists in Lisbon payment is €795 (tax included).

Residency in the House of Klajn, Croatia
- If you need a place to develop an interesting idea to a final work of art one-to-one have four places available in the artist residency in Klanjec, Croatia from 9th to 29th June, 2025.
- The residency includes a workshop weekend where you will share your experience to other artists interested in one-to-one format.
- You will present the results of your work to the local citizens of Klanjec. The works made in residency will be presented at the festivals in Finland or Lisbon or both.
- For the residency in Klanjec the payment is €2,600. For all the payments the taxes and laws of the specific countries apply. They also cover the travel expenses and offer home accommodation, one meal per working day in location and average €100 per work support for material costs. It is possible to apply with a work of two artists but then the artists have to share the fee.
