Perform Europe Webinar with SlowMo Case Study, 1st February 2024

Join us on Thursday 1st February at 11am for an Information Webinar on Perform Europe funding with a case study on the SlowMo project by Rita Marcalo of Instant Dissidence, Cloughjordan, Ireland.

Perform Europe will support inclusive, diverse, and green touring projects. The deadline to apply is 31st March, 2024. This is a call to the sector to create partnerships and propose impactful ideas that can generate real change. Projects should focus on at least one of the Perform Europe priorities which are:

  • Inclusion and diversity
  • Fight against climate change

In addition to addressing one or both of these priorities, all Perform Europe proposals should aim for quality and innovation, and be built on fair principles. Perform Europe will grant €2.1 million to at least 35 successful partnerships to implement their projects from 1st July 2024 until 30th November 2025.

Under this call, as stipulated by the European Union, performing arts include the following sectors - theatre, dance, performance, circus, outdoor arts, and puppetry. Please note that live music is excluded from this call.

Case Study: SlowMo, Instant Dissidence, Ireland

We are delighted to be joined by Rita Marcalo from Instant Dissidence who will talk about 'SlowMo: Connecting Cloughjordan Ecovillage to continental Europe via land, sea and dance' which received Perform Europe funding 2021-2022.

The SlowMo project was an outdoor participatory dance work by Ireland-based company Instant Dissidence, travelling from Cloughjordan Ecovillage, Tipperary, Ireland, by land and sea to destinations in Cyprus, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, and the UK.
