Screen Ireland Call for EFP Producers on the Move at Cannes 2025

Producers On the Move

Screen Ireland is seeking applications from producers who wish to be considered as the Irish selection for the 2025 European Film Promotion's Producers on the Move programme which is held each year at the Cannes Film Festival.

Screen Ireland Call for EFP Producers on the Move 2025

Producers on the Move is a hybrid programme of preparatory online meetings from 28th to 30th April prior to the Cannes Film Festival with subsequent networking events on site.

Producers are nominated by their respective national film promotion institutes, members of EFP, and selected via an intricate point system. Criteria include the requirement for the producers to have had experience with at least one international co-production, the selection of their films at major international film festivals or distribution outside the film’s (co-)production country(ies).

Once the producers have successfully passed the selection process, they embark on a series of activities, such as project pitches, 1:1 meetings, special case studies as well as social events, accompanied by an extensive promotion campaign which includes online presentations and being featured in the international trades.

About Producers on the Move

Over the past 25 years, 526 producers from across Europe have been given the opportunity to take part in PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE in Cannes. The well-established initiative strives to connect young enterprising European producers with potential co-production partners and to bolster essential industry networking.
