Seven Irish Organisations Secure Creative Europe Co-operation Project Funding!
As the current Creative Europe Programme draws to a close and we look forward to the next Programme launching in 2021, Ireland’s participation has ended on a high note with seven Irish organisations successful in receiving Co-operation Projects funding.
As the current Creative Europe Programme draws to a close and we look forward to the next Programme launching in 2021, Ireland’s participation has ended on a high note with seven Irish organisations successful in receiving Co-operation Projects funding. These latest projects bring the total of direct grant aid to Ireland to over €4.1 million under the Co-operation Projects Strand.
The seven successful Irish organisations and their projects are:
- Carlow County Council (lead) – Craft Hub
- Cork Printmakers – In From the Margins
- Ormston House - Artist-Run Network Europe
- Nuwa Digital Content - Retold Stories - Sustaining Cultural Memories in Open-Air Museums
- The Centre for Children's and Young Adult Literature, School of English, DCU - G-Book 2: European Teen Readers and Creators in Gender Positive Narratives
- Glucksman Gallery – Blind Engagement in Accessible Museum Projects
- Irish Aerial Creation Centre – Island Connect.
Since the start of the Creative Europe 2014 - 2020 programme sixty-six Irish organisations have been involved in sixty-two Cooperation Projects as either lead coordinator or partner. In all they have partnered with over four hundred European cultural organisations in over thirty countries!
These new projects represent all artforms and cultural sectors and are happening in different collaborative contexts, bringing high quality European artistic work and opportunities to communities all across Ireland.
Creative Europe supported projects have fostered the professional development of artists’ careers, seen Irish artists and their work cross borders and reach new European audiences and developed innovative artistic models designed to help strengthen and sustain the arts and cultural sectors here in Ireland.
The Culture Office recognises the immense achievement of all the recipients in developing transnational European projects and succeeding in such a competitive funding context. We look forward to working with the successful organisations in promoting their projects to as wide an audience as possible.
