This year marks 35 years of Creative Europe MEDIA. In Ireland, we are proud to support audiovisual professionals who help European stories reach new audiences!
This year, Creative Europe MEDIA celebrates 35 years of support to European companies and creatives who tell stories via film, televsion, animation, documentary as. MEDIA has also supported major European markets and festivals.
MEDIA supports cultural diversity and helps bolster European competitiveness in the international audiovisual industry. Thanks to the support of MEDIA, European stories have travelled across borders and helped connect professionals, audiences, and cultures across Europe.
Creative Europe MEDIA has adapted to emerging challenges and opportunities, new technologies and changing consumption habits. In a world in motion, it keeps stories in motion!
Looking to the future, the proposed new AgoraEU programme contains a strengthened MEDIA+ strand for the 2028 to 2034 period. Agora EU will reflect the three policy areas it covers and have corresponding strands:
- Creative Europe Culture
- MEDIA+
- CERV+ (Democracy, Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values)
