Welcome to Jules Ní Chonchobhair, new Head of Oifig MEDIA na Gaillimhe
Creative Europe Desk Ireland is delighted to welcome Jules Ní Chonchobhair, the new Head of Oifig MEDIA na Gaillimhe.
Jules Ní Chonchobhair takes over from Eibhlín Ní Mhungaile who is retiring this year.
Jules has over 25 years of experience in the audiovisual and creative industries, working in both the music and TV and film industries as well as in theatre, publishing and with literature festivals. Having begun her career as an audio engineer and production manager in the music industry, she also has extensive experience supporting clients in the TV and film in her capacity as communications consultant and project manager. As Head of Oifig MEDIA na Gaillimhe, Jules will provide support and information to the west of Ireland’s film, TV, games, and animation companies.
Commenting on her new role, Jules said:
‘I’m delighted to take on this role. Eibhlín has done outstanding work in the role until now. Since the beginning of the current programme (2021–2027), Gaeltacht companies have received over €570,000, and more than two million Euro has been given to companies in the west of Ireland. Eibhlín has organised conferences, seminars and training opportunities for the industry in the west, including the annual MEDIA Coproduction Dinner at Galway Film Fleadh, an annual event that gives producers and financiers the opportunity to come together and discuss projects.
