The musical artist Mairéad Duffy spent a week learning from and creating with Pam Hulme, a Berlin-based electro-acoustic compose. The award enabled her to explore new sound possibilities on Irish Harp and vocals.

Towards the end of the week, she performed as a guest artist in Dazwischen-In Search of the Something Inbetween, in Lazarus-Haus, Marchlewskistrasse, Friedrichshain.

‘The award enabled me to fully immerse myself in exploring new sound possibilities on Irish Harp and vocals. Towards the end of the week, I performed as a guest artist in Dazwischen-In Search of the Something Inbetween, in Lazarus-Haus, Marchlewskistrasse, Friedrichshain. This gave me my first performance platform to combine live looping and SFX. My time in Berlin has given me the confidence to continue stepping into this new sound world. With my second album on the horizon, I am excited with the potential timbres that will weave their part in the album’s story.’ Mairéad Duffy
