Mortina is a 2D animated TV series for ages 5-8 and is based on an internationally successful book series illustrated by Barbara Cantini. An Italian-Irish co-production. Screening on RTÉ Player and on RTÉ2 weekdays at 3.10pm from 26 January 2026.
Mortina is a co-production between Cartobaleno (Italy) and Treehouse Republic (Ireland), with the support and financing of RAI KIDS and RTÉ. Studio100 (Germany) is the distributor for AV and L&M worldwide. It is also co-funded by Creative Europe MEDIA TV & Online funding scheme.
Mortina is for ages 5 to 8. It's a 2D animated TV series 26 x 12’ (the first part of a complete 52 x 12’ Series) based on an internationally successful book series illustrated by Barbara Cantini.
The unique development and concept of the series (written in Italy and Ireland), combined with its international publishing success, the endorsement of RAI KIDS, and the strong identity of the character design, have attracted the interest of many investors, as well as European and international broadcasters.
