Dance Limerick offers supported residencies to professional dance artists and choreographers to research and develop work in Dance Limerick from August to December 2025.

Become one of Dance Limerick's Percolate 2025 artists

The Percolate residency aims to support research, experimentation, practice development and/or creation of work. Residencies are open to national and international dance artists in all dance genres and at any stage of their career. The residency is for a one or two-week period. It supports individual artists or a team of up to 4 artists/collaborators.

What the Percolate Residency Provides

  • Research space from 10 am – 5pm Monday – Friday. Residencies may be offered either in our studio or performance space. (Alternative access schedule may be accommodated. Please indicate your need in the application)
  • Accommodation paid for and arranged on your behalf for up to 4 artists/collaborators in artist friendly houses.
  • A contribution of €75 per week, per artist, toward living costs – payable to the lead applicant
  • Vouched receipted travel stipend up to a maximum of €200 per residency – payable to the lead applicant
  • Residency and artist info hosted on Dance Limerick website, social media and e-newsletter
  • Peer feedback / mentoring as required and opportunities for professional development

Purpose of the Residency

  • Time and space for your dance practice research, development and experimentation
  • Taking an already developed idea to the next stage
  • Time and space to develop collaborative relationships
  • Rehearsal / production time toward presenting new work
  • Time to engage with a local community in Limerick towards future project proposals.

Residency Eligibility

  • National and international professional dance artists, choreographers and companies
  • All dance genres and all career stages
  • Funded or unfunded projects and ideas.

How to Apply

DANCE LIMERICK is a dedicated centre for art where movement and choreography are at the centre of the work. They create opportunities for artists, individuals and communities, to discover and participate in dance. They are one of three Irish partners in the Creative Europe supported Aerowaves Platform which was received repeat funding in 2023. Aerowaves is based in Ireland and the third Irish member is Dance Cork in a platform which features a network of partners in over 30 EU countries.
