Documentary: A European Perspective 2025
MEDIA Office Galway with the support of Coimisiún na Meán will host an information and pitching event called Documentary: A European Perspective in Galway on Thursday 23rd October 2025.
Confirmed broadcasters this year include SVT, RTÉ, TG4, S4C, ARTE, Virgin Media, Yle, Al Jazeera and Journeyman Pictures (sales agent).
The event will take place in Portershed a Dó, Galway, on Thursday 23rd October 2025. It is organised in association with Paradiddle Pictures and will be moderated by Ove Rishøj Jensen.
The day will begin at 9.00 with a welcome tea and coffee. At 09.30, we'll have a panel session where European commissioning editors present their documentary slots and discuss their editorial strategies.
Following a short break, eight selected Irish filmmakers will pitch projects in development to the panel of European commissioning editors.
The selected filmmakers will have one-to-one meetings in the afternoon.
