Update April 2022

You can see the results for the Creative Innovation Lab 2021 call on the EC website. Two projects that were funded include:

  • Virtual Lab on the Collection and Commercialization of digital tools for Citizen education in Cultural Heritage (C4Education). C4 Education results from a multi-stakeholder process involving 500+ European innovation stakeholders from SME, research, public authorities and heritage to link two business sectors – the digital audio-visual and the cultural heritage sector. C4Education is proposed to overcome most relevant challenges those sectors are currently faced with: limited visibility and outreach, missing ready-to-use digital tools at fixed and low costs to be used and shaped to purpose without specialist knowledge, the lack of sales and training platform covering the needs of digital audio-visual and cultural heritage businesses.
  • Creative Room Europe Alliance: Authors, journalists, publishers and content creators are developing new online concepts and formats. Panodyssey is the innovative solution that promotes these hybrid practices. Our collaborative platform allows professional and amateur creators to monetize their content. Intellectual Property is a key element in bringing about a new European digital model around a cross-sectoral vision with economic players in the audiovisual, cultural and creative sectors. This vision protects and values content creators, offers to users quality digital experiences while respecting their rights and differences and creates a new virtuous European digital model, in complete transparency.

Aims of Creative Innovation Lab call

The Creative Innovation Lab is a Cross Sector call from Creative Europe that aims to:

  • Incentivise players from different cultural and creative sectors to design and test innovative digital solutions with long-term positive impact
  • The Lab shall facilitate the creation of innovative solutions (e.g. tools, models and methodologies) that can apply to the audiovisual sector and at least another creative and/or cultural sector. Solutions should be easily replicable and have a potential for market penetration.
  • The deadline for this call is 5th of October 2021.
