Join EACEA's webinar on the Circulation of European Literary Works 2025 funding call on 3rd December to find out more about eligibility and the types of literary translation projects that qualify for support.

The EACEA will host a webinar on the Circulation of European Literary Works 2025 funding call on 3rd December from 9am to 11am Irish time (10am to 12pm CET). You don't need to register in advance, just go the EACEA event page and click the Join the Meeting button.

The webinar is open to everyone. It will cover important aspects of the call including how to apply, eligibility criteria, and the types of translation projects that qualify for support. The language of the meeting will be English. Please note that this webinar meeting will not be recorded.

Circulation of European Literary Works 2025

The Circulation of European Literary Works call supports projects that translate, publish, distribute, and promote European works of fiction. The aim of this call is to:

  • Support around 40 projects implemented either by a single entity or by a consortium of organisations (minimum 2).
  • Applicants must be active in the publishing and book sector.
  • Promote the diversity of literature in the target country (or countries) by including works of fiction from countries that are under-represented, and in particular, works written in lesser used languages.
  • Support the profession of literary translator.
  • Encourage collaboration between different actors of the book value chain: authors, translators, publishers, distributors, booksellers, libraries, literary events, or festivals.

Funding Available for:

  • Small scale: projects proposing at least 5 translations of eligible works can receive up to €100,000.
  • Medium scale: projects proposing at least 11 translations of eligible works can receive up to €200,000.
  • Large scale: projects proposing at least 21 translations of eligible works can receive up to €300,000 (consortium only).

The deadline to apply for Circulation of European Literary Works call is 11th February 2025.
