Ireland’s only international music festival for young audiences, BIG BANG DUBLIN!, returns from 1-7 April, 2022. Big Bang is co-funded by Creative Europe.

An adventurous celebration of music of all kinds, BIG BANG Dublin! encourages curiosity and musical discovery with outstanding music performances and intriguing installations from Ireland and abroad.

Presented by The Ark in collaboration with Zonzo Compagnie as part of BIG BANG Festival which is supported by Creative Europe.

From Friday 1st April to Sunday 3rd April, BIG BANG Dublin! encourages curiosity and musical discovery with outstanding music performances and intriguing installations from Ireland and abroad.

Head over to the ARK Dublin website to see what takes your fancy and book your tickets. There will be a mix of outdoor and indoor events, some some free and some ticketed in various city centre venues.

Some highlights include:

  • Concert: Tiny Trad, Saturday 2nd April with Fiona Kelleher & Caoimhin Vallely, The New Theatre, 10.30am & 12.00pm. Suitable for ages 2-4. Duration 40 mins.
  • Live Installation: DOOR2, Sunday 3rd April, performed by Matthew Jacobson & Kate Ellis. Composed by George Higgs. Free, drop-in event at Filmbase, Curved St)Sat 2 April, Every 20 minutes from 2-3pm. Meeting House Square, Sun 3 April, every 20 minutes from 11am-12pm, 1-2pm & 3.30-4pm. For Ages 6+. Approx. 12 minutes.
  • Free Family Outdoor Performance: Sunday 3rd April 12pm & 3pm at Meeting House Square with Morro 16 led by Musical Directors Jackie Maguire, Michael Black, Grace Berkery and Johanne Heraty. Free drop-in event. Suitable for ages 5+. Duration approx. 30 mins.
