Culture Moves Europe residency call results

In total, there were 1,326 applications from 38 Creative Europe countries. Two Irish applications were successful in this round.

• IMMA (Irish Museum of Modern Art) was successful with its Dwell Here residencies. IMMA welcomes applications for Dwell Here 2027: One Year Residencies for nationwide and internationally based practices to reside for one year at the Museum. This opportunity invites applications across disciplines of the visual arts, design, architecture, curation, and related humanities fields. Successful applicants will be supported to undertake independent site-responsive research.
• The Non Prophet Organisation was also successful with its residency project Where is Home? This will involve research on psychosocial dislocation and trauma, using somatic experiencing and performing arts practices with everyday experts from the migrant community.

Culture Moves Europe Residency Result Breakdown

• 150 residency projects funded out of 1,326 applications from 38 Creative Europe countries.
• Selected residencies are based in 38 countries, including Moldova, that joined the Creative Europe programme in January 2026.
• There are 3 hosts planning residencies in Overseas Countries and Territories or Outermost Regions: 2 in the Azores and 1 in Curaçao.
• 42% of selected hosts planned their residency in rural areas, 40% in cities, and the remainder in small towns and suburbs. Only a sixth of hosts planned their residency in a capital city.
• Among the selected organisations, hosts have a range of experience with residencies. 16% will be hosting their first ever residents. 31% have already hosted more than 50 residents in past projects.
• 15% of selected hosts applied with projects connected with the New European Bauhaus and its values.

The next Culture Moves Call 2026 - 2027 Call for residency hosts will open in autumn 2026.
