European Cooperations Projects 2026 funding call is now open

With a budget of around €60 million, European Cooperation Projects funding will foster cooperation between organisations active in the field of culture, increasing the cross-border dimension of creation and circulation of European artistic content. It will also encourage the development, experimentation, dissemination, and application of new and innovative practices.

This funding action is expected to support around 150 projects.

The deadline for applications is 5 May 2026.

About European Cooperation Projects 2026

Supports small and medium scale transnational collaborative projects in Creative Europe countries. Funding is available for 2 types of projects.

  • Small Scale Cooperation Projects 2026: minimum 3 independent entities from 3 different eligible countries. The consortium most be composed of minimum 3 entities from 3 different eligible countries.
    • The maximum EU grant amount is of €200,000 per project.
    • The funding rate is of maximum 80%.
    • Small-scale projects are particularly suitable to promote the access of grassroots organisations and support these organisations in the creation of new partnerships and development of new activities and innovative ideas such as festivals, art fairs, exhibitions, performances, etc.
  • Medium Scale Cooperation Projects 2026: minimum 5 independent entities from 5 different eligible countries.
    • The consortium most be composed of minimum 5 entities from 5 different eligible countries.
    • The maximum EU grant amount is of €1,000,000 per project.
    • The funding rate is of maximum 70%.

Project Objectives

Projects can cover one or more cultural and creative sectors and can be interdisciplinary. Support will be given to projects addressing one of the following objectives:

  1. Objective 1: Transnational creation and circulation. Projects should aim to strengthen the transnational creation and circulation of European works and artists.
  2. Objective 2: Innovation. Projects should aim to enhance the capacity of European cultural and creative sectors to nurture talents, to innovate, to prosper and to generate jobs and growth.
