Producer on the Move Cannes includes Irish producer Kathryn Kennedy
Congratulations to Irish Producer Kathryn Kennedy who has been selected to take part in European Film Promotion's (EFP) promotion and networking platform PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE before and during the Festival de Cannes from 16 - 27 May, 2023.
Twenty of the most dynamic emerging producers from across Europe will take part in Producers on the Move, a tailor-made programme to foster international co-productions, intensify the exchange of experiences and help create new professional networks. The producers will meet during the Festival de Cannes to take part in a programme spread over five days, which will include case studies, social events and an extensive promotional campaign via the international trade magazines.
Three of the selected producers will present their films at this year's Festival: Dutch Erik Glijnis co-produced Lost in the Night by Amat Escalante which is running in the Official Selection Cannes Premiere as an entry from Mexico. Following Dalva in 2022, Julie Esparbe's The (Ex)perience of Love by Ann Sirot and Raphaël Balbonin will be screened in Cannes‘ Critics Week as a title coming from Belgium while Juraj Krasnohorský’s animated short Electra by Daria Kashcheeva will be premiering in the La Cinef selection as an entry from the Slovak Republic.
This European Film Promotion initiative is supported by Creative Europe MEDIA, Eurimages, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, as well as the participating national film promotion institutes which includes Screen Ireland / Fís Éireann. The main media partner is Variety, with Cineuropa as an additional media partner and Festival Scope as a programme partner.
