Creative Europe Desk Ireland is pround to support Culture Crush 2025 on 26th November. Where the cultural and creative communities in Ireland come together as one to connect, share and celebrate creativity and innovation.
This year's venue for Culture Crush is the Whyte Recital Hall at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. The theme this year is 'Voice' - from finding your voice, to breaking through the noise, from supporting under-represented voices to celebrating authentic voices.
Speakers and artists at Culture Crush 2025 include:
- Eva Birthistle, Actor, Writer, Director. Eva’s debut feature film as writer/director Kathleen is Here (2024) starred Hazel Doupe, Clare Dunne and Peter Coonan.
- Carole Cadwalladr, Pulitzer-Nominated Investigative Journalist.
- Sinéad Gleeson, Writer. Sinéad Gleeson’s essay collection Constellations: Reflections from Life won Non-Fiction Book of the Year at the Irish Book Awards and the Dalkey Literary Award for Emerging Writer.
- Lorna Ross, Head of Department of Design and Creative Media at ATU Donegal.
- Iarla Ó Lionáird, Singer, Composer, Producer. A twice Grammy nominated artist, Ó Lionáird has worked with a stellar cast of composers internationally including Donnacha Dennehy, Dan Trueman, Ludwig Göransson, and more.
- Discovery Gospel Choir. Discovery Gospel Choir is Ireland’s leading intercultural choir, blending gospel, folk, and world music. Representing diverse nationalities and singing in multiple languages, the choir shares songs of hope and joy.
- Emer O'Neill, TV presenter, author and activist passionate about inclusion, equity, neurodiversity, and women in sport.
- Pea Dinneen, Playwright & Cabaret Artist.
- Abeba Birhane, Principal Investigator and Founder, AI Accountability Lab (AIAL).
