PUSH: exploring identity, borders and ‘safety zones’ in theatre and dance for young audiences in Europe and beyond. A two year project working with five partners to ‘push’ and develop thinking, ideas and the artforms themselves through residential training labs and five festival visits for artists.
The Labs (8-day residential workshop) will be cross art form. Artist at varying stages of career from emerging to experienced will be eligible to attend encouraging a diverse range of potential collaborations.
Each of the partner festivals has a focus on both theatre and dance for young audiences where the work programmed is international and of the highest quality.
PUSH will employ a filmmaker/digital artist who will explore the potential of using film and video within the 3 artistic Labs, not just for documentary footage but to contribute artistically.
