Cross Sector Funding Webinars from EACEA in December

JP info session horizontal

At this webinar, participants will find out more EU funding for cross-border media collaborations and funding schemes for independent media. The call for proposals for Journalism Partnerships aims for large two-year projects, with projects expected to start towards the end of 2024.

This call has two different topics. Applicants should choose one of these topics:

  • Collaboration, for cross-border, collaborative proposals between news media organisations focusing on innovative business models and/or journalistic projects across Europe.
  • Pluralism, for organisations/intermediaries that provide grants to news media in areas of especial relevance to democracy (such as local/regional media, independent and investigative journalism, and public interest news).

  • News about EU funding opportunities for the news media.

The Media Literacy Call encourages knowledge sharing and exchanges on media literacy policies and practices to enable the development of innovative cross-border media literacy initiatives and communities across Europe, in a continuously changing digital media landscape and taking into account current user behaviour among various age groups.

This funding supports:

  • Pan-European consortia, scaling up best practices across national, cultural and linguistic borders, and developing and upscaling media literacy tools and actions to ensure the transfer of such practices to the widest possible audience, covering different types of media delivery modalities;
  • Forums for exchange of best practices around specific age groups, groups with limited media literacy skills or access, or those at risk of social exclusion;
  • Media literacy professionals to adapt their practices to fast developing media formats and changing media consumption patterns.

Please do contact us if you would like to get advice on any of the calls and how best to prepare your MEDIA applications.
