New MEDIA funding calls for 2027 are now open!
Creative Europe MEDIA has opened a new round of calls from 30 September 2026. All the open calls can be viewed at a glance on our MEDIA strand funding page. See below for a list of calls ordered by deadlines. You can also find all the open calls listed here on the Funding & Tenders portal.
On the Creative Europe Desk Ireland website each MEDIA funding call has a dedicated page which outlines the key elements and requirements of the funding call with links to the detailed call documents and advice on how to apply for funding.
We will host a number of funding information webinars on specific calls for producers in advance of call deadlines. The EACEA will also host information webinars on each call over the coming months. Details will be available here our website, sent out in newsletters, and posted on our socials.

MEDIA Open Calls by Deadlines
- European Slate Development. Supports 3-5 works with option to include a short film by new talent. Deadline 1 December 2026.
- Innovative Tools & Business Models. Supports audience boosting, digital tools, and greening. Deadline 14 January 2027.
- Films on the Move. Supports the circulation of European works. Deadline 21 January 2027.
- Video Games & Immersive Content Development. Supports development of narrative video games and interactive immersive content. Deadline 2 February 2027.
- TV and Online Content. Supports TV + Online content with broadcast or VOD backers. Deadline 10 February 2027.
- Audience Development & Film Education. Supports audience reach for EU audiovisual works + film heritage. Deadline 2 March 2027.
- European Co-Development. Supports animation, fiction, or documentaries co-developed for cinema, TV or digital platforms. Deadline 3 March 2027.

EACEA Funding Webinars October 2026
Details of the upcoming October webinars can be found here on the EACEA website. You don't need to register in advance of the sessions. On the day of the webinar of your choosing go to the EACEA webinar page. Scroll down to find the Join button and click on it to open the Webex link.
Please note that the webinar times on the EACEA page are one hour ahead of Irish time. See below for Irish times and equivalent Central European times.
- Monday 12 October, TV and Online Content: 1pm to 4pm Irish time (2-5pm CET).
- Tuesday 13 October, European Film Distribution: 1pm to 4pm Irish time (2-5pm CET).
- Wednesday 14 October, European Slate Development and Mini-slate Development: 9am to 12pm Irish time (10am-1pm CET).
- Thursday 15 October, European Film Sales; 1pm to 4pm Irish time (2-5pm CET).
